KAROLINA HODASOVA504/GWT
Hi,
I’m Karolina and I’m a 24 year old student specializing in interior design. For a long time I have dreamed of designing and creating spaces and now I´m on a learning journey to see where it gets me. The part of the design process I particularly enjoy is the 3D building and rendering. I´m also very keen to learn new softwares to help me bring my ideas and designs to life.

PROJECTS II.
2023
Restaurant redesign with specific objectives. Goal was to create a minimal space with good flow, in earthy tones, aesthetic views and a bit of a natural environment.
Project requirements:
-kitchen
-employee space: toilet, shower, rest area
-office
-kitchen storage
-waiting zone
-toilets
This is the existing space. After a thorough analysis, I made a moodboard of references of what I envisioned the space could look like.
MOODBOARD
The moodboard shows existing spaces with the usage of materials that I wanted to use for my project. The focus was on round edges, circular shapes, neutral colors, earthy tones, warm light and nature.
FLOOR PLAN AND SECTIONS
After de
ciding on the materials and the goal for the restaurant, I made a floorplan that included all the necessities specified in the beginning of the project. As I didn´t want the space to feel to crowded, I didn´t focus on fitting every square inch with seating space.
There were some challenges with the floorplan, like the columns in free space of the walls that weren´t perpendicular to each other, but in the end I integrated them pretty well into the layout. The space had flow - keeping in mind the importance of employee access throughout the whole restaurant. A big part of the thought process behind the layout was the accessibility of waiters around the tables and other staff in the kitchen and so on.
RENDERS
The last step were the renders which worked out quite well with the materials chosen beforehand.
